Iranian diplomat calls Minsk International Book Fair pinnacle of Belarus' publishing industry

MINSK, 5 February (BelTA) – The Minsk International Book Fair is a pinnacle of Belarus' publishing culture, Cultural Advisor to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Belarus Abolgasem Mokhtarian told BelTA.

“Naturally, such events are meant to enhance cultural experience of people in any country. I can compare this expo to an Everest of Belarus that is seen from everywhere,” Abolgasem Mokhtarian said.

In his words, the stand of the embassy displays not only Iranian books, but also items of Iranian culture. “The University of Culture art gallery is now hosting an exhibition that features two Iranian artists. Half of the items was left in the art gallery, the other half was brought here. We are happy to take part in this expo. Everyone is welcome at our stand,” he said.

Its program features panel discussions, workshops, book presentations and meetings with authors. More than 300 exhibitors from 30 countries will present their new products at the Minsk fair.
