Ipatov elected vice speaker of House of Representatives

MINSK, 22 March (BelTA) - Vadim Ipatov has been elected Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the eighth convocation on 22 March, BelTA has learned.

The vice speaker of the House of Representatives was elected by secret ballot during the first meeting of the first session of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the eighth convocation. 109 MPs out of 109 present voted for Vadim Ipatov's candidacy.

“I express my sincere gratitude for supporting my candidacy. Thank you for the great assessment of my professionalism, but I must say that all those present in this hall are professionals. I am a lawyer, someone is a teacher, a doctor. This is how the House of Representatives was formed, taking into account the opinion of our constituents, so that we could consider any emerging issues,” Vadim Ipatov said. “I wish good luck to all of us and achieve high results in the name of our beloved Motherland.”
