MINSK, 21 November (BelTA) – International observers from the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (IPA) will take part in the observation of the 2025 presidential election in Belarus, Chairman of the Standing Commission on Education, Science, Culture and Social Development of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly Sergei Sivets said on the sidelines of the regular session of the IPA CIS Council in St. Petersburg, Russia on 21 November, BelTA learned.
"We effectively cooperate on the issues of election campaigns in the CIS. All election campaigns that take place in the CIS countries arouse great interest and feedback from our CIS partners. Teams of international observers are formed to monitor election campaigns. Within the framework of the presidential campaign in Belarus we expect to host an international team of observers from the IPA CIS," he said.
