MINSK, 23 June (BelTA) – Indian journalists are on a press tour in Belarus, BelTA learned from the National Tourism Agency.
A large-scale tour began on 21 June and will be running until 27 June. A film crew from the popular Bollylands.com company arrived in Belarus to shoot a fascinating travel show. Over the course of a week, Indian journalists and filmmakers will immerse themselves in Belarusian culture, history and nature, capturing the most striking and interesting moments.
The busy schedule includes filming key attractions and iconic places in Minsk that represent contemporary achievements and historical heritage of the capital city. The multifunctional cultural and sports complex Minsk Arena will be among them.
The journalists will go back in time to learn how the Belarusian countryside lived in the past. For that they will visit the Belarusian State Museum of Folk Architecture and Everyday Life and take part in the Kupalye rite in Ozertso. The National Olympic Training Center for Water Skiing will show the guests outdoor recreation options in Belarus.
In addition, the media representatives will visit the Stalin Line historical and cultural complex, BelAZ, the Nesvizh Palace, the Mir Castle Complex and a hotel in the castle.
The Indian film crew was especially interested in Grodno Oblast. Journalists will visit Grodno, the Ozyory National Landscape Reserve, the Ozerny Sanatorium and the Garadzenski Mayentak Karobchytsy rural tourism complex. The tour will wrap up with the visit to the Belarusfilm national film studio.
The National Tourism Agency emphasized that a familiarization tour will be very instrumental in promoting Belarus’ tourism industry in India. The release of the travel show on Indian television and the Internet is expected to boost the country's image as a tourist destination and attract visitors from India.
