MINSK, 12 July (BelTA) - India shows interest in the tourism potential of Belarus, the National Tourism Agency told BelTA after a meeting with an Indian delegation in the Sport and Tourism Ministry of Belarus.
The delegation included the founder of the International School of Management Excellence, director of the NVT Group (a group of companies specializing in certification of aviation equipment and information and communication technologies) Dr Nitin Garg and Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Cambodia in Bangalore, director of Aura Illumination, member of the Diplomatic Economic Council of India Karthik Tallam.
The parties discussed the ways of strengthening of tourist relations between the two countries, increasing the tourist flow. One of the topics was the popularization of Belarusian-Indian cooperation through media, the use of digital platforms and marketing strategies to promote tourism potential.
Consideration was also given to the prospects of populating Belarus as a tourist destination among Indian tourists, increasing the occupancy of the Minsk-New Delhi-Minsk flight, and ways to optimize air traffic between the capitals.
India noted the increased interest among Indian citizens to visit the sights of Belarus. They are attracted by unique nature, rich cultural heritage and hospitality of the Belarusian people.
Belarus invited Indian partners to Leisure 2026 expo of tourism services 28th edition will be held in Minsk from 9 to 11 April. “The participation of an Indian delegation will be an excellent opportunity to present the tourism potential of India, establish new business ties,” the National Tourism Agency said.
