MINSK, 8 April (BelTA) - The India-Belarus film and culture forum kicked off with an opening ceremony at the Belarusian embassy in India to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in India.
The event was organized by the Belarusian diplomatic mission in India with the assistance of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, Marwah Studios, and the Asian Academy of Film and Television. The role of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment was emphasized in strengthening friendship and understanding between the countries. The parties also discussed the state and prospects of Belarusian-Indian cooperation in culture, cinema and education.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to India Andrei Rzheussky in his speech focused on the tourist attractiveness of Belarus, hospitality and friendliness of the Belarusian people. In addition, it was announced that the Days of Belarusian Cinema in India would be held at the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry under the auspices of Marwah Studios on 19-20 April.
