Increasing momentum in cooperation between CECs of Belarus, Uzbekistan welcomed

MINSK, 23 February (BelTA) - Cooperation between the Central Election Commissions of Belarus and Uzbekistan has gained an increasing momentum, Chairman of Uzbekistan’s Central Election Commission Zayniddin Nizamkhodjaev said during a meeting with Chairman of the Belarusian Central Election Commission Igor Karpenko in Minks on 23 February, BelTA has learned

"We have a lot of things in common. Our cooperation has gained an increasing momentum. We welcome this," Zayniddin Nizamkhodjaev said. 



"It is important to note the high level of Uzbek-Belarusian relations at the level of heads of state. During the recent visit of the Belarusian president to Uzbekistan, the countries reached very important agreements," the head of the CEC of Uzbekistan stressed.

"I would like to especially thank you for taking part in the observation of the important political event in Uzbekistan in 2023 [the Constitutional Referendum]. Belarusian colleagues not only supported us. They made important proposals during the observation," Zayniddin Nizamkhodjaev added.
