MINSK, 23 June (BelTA) – The Youth Council (parliament) represents a good talent pool for the country, BelTA learned from Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova on 23 June.
The final session of the first-convocation Youth Council (parliament) took place at premises of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus on 23 June. Natalya Kochanova said: “Our colleagues, young parliamentarians started working hard once they were elected to the Youth Council for the first time. It was July 2020 – a very hot period of time. The guys are summarizing results during this session today. I am grateful and thankful to them for our joint work. They participated in virtually all our events. We invited them to participate in everything including sessions of the Council of the Republic or offsite sessions of the Presidium, meetings with citizens, and the guys were always with us. It was a good school for them, I have zero doubts about that.”
Natalya Kochanova said that cooperation with this composition of the Youth Council is also important for the senators. “I hope that the new composition, which will replace them (some of the guys may stay but it is up to them and municipal authorities to decide), will continue this glorious tradition the first convocation has begun. These two years represent a very complicated period in the life of our country and the world as a whole. We see what events are happening. However, the young parliamentarians discharged all the functions the Youth Council is entrusted with with honor and dignity. I am very grateful and thankful to them for it. They represent a good talent pool for our country,” the head of the upper chamber of the Belarusian parliament is convinced.
