Healthcare Ministry presents its know-how at My Belarus exhibition

MINSK, 28 December (BelTA) – The Healthcare Ministry is taking part in the My Belarus exhibition. Its exposition features healthcare solutions developed from 1994 to 2024, as well as medical products made by Belarusian engineers in cooperation with the healthcare community, BelTA learned from the press service of the Healthcare Ministry.

The main stand of the exposition features a photo exhibition “Efficiency. Availability. Quality” that highlights the milestones of the domestic health sector over the period of 30 years and the personal contribution of the head of state to the development of public health in Belarus.

“The government ensures free and  fast access to medical services for all residents - both in large cities and in rural communities. For this purpose, mobile paramedic-obstetric stations and ambulances based on the MAZ vehicle were developed. Medical kits for medical equipment are also made in Belarus. A dental office is also presented at the exhibition - its equipment meets international standards and is made in Belarus,” the press service informed.

Specialists of the ministry are ready to answer questions of schoolchildren who want to pursue a career in healthcare, and to give advice on a healthy lifestyle. Here visitors can try themselves as first-responders. They will be taught how to start a mannequin's heart using indirect heart massage, as well as first aid basics in emergency situations.

The highlights of the exposition include a pharmacy robot who sells medicines and a virtual Pirogov's Table that helps study the structure of a human body.

Visitors can see the Smart Scooter with remote control. This chair allows people with disabilities to move around via a mobile application. Various rehabilitation tools created by specialists of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security are also on display.

“Another interesting venue is a virtual tour of a pharmacy history room. Using VR technology, visitors can see a digital copy of an existing museum exhibition. The Motherhood and Childhood exposition presents the latest incubator devices for newborns used in the Mother and Child Center and maternity hospitals throughout our country. Visitors will be able to check their knowledge of medicine on special simulators,” the ministry added.

There will be interactive and business games for visitors. The Young Pharmacist mini-pharmacy will teach children how to use medicines and vitamins correctly.
