MINSK, 24 September (BelTA) - China rightfully holds the title of world leader in the development and production of medical equipment, Belarusian Healthcare Minister Aleksandr Khodzhayev stated on the sidelines of an exhibition of Chinese medical equipment at the Great Stone industrial park, BelTA has learned.
The minister noted that the exhibition's participants presented Belarusian specialists with the most interesting medical technologies and equipment, as well as effective medical products developed based on a deep understanding of the needs of modern healthcare.


Chinese colleagues are offering for study and testing advanced diagnostic systems, examples of high-tech surgical medical equipment, innovative solutions for rehabilitation and disease prevention, new possibilities for minimally invasive surgery, and methods for medical imaging, radiotherapy, infection control, and more.


The minister expressed confidence that the Chinese colleagues have come to Belarus not only to demonstrate the latest achievements in medical technology but also to strengthen bilateral cooperation in this vital sector and create a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience between manufacturers and healthcare system specialists.
Deputy Economy Minister Alesya Abramenko noted that Belarusian manufacturers and consumers have long considered China a key supplier of equipment, technologies, and materials, and expressed confidence that participating companies will be able to establish effective procurement channels and cooperative ties.
“During a recent meeting on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, the leaders of Belarus and China confirmed their unity of views on key issues of the international and bilateral agenda. Based on the agreements reached, we will continue the consistent implementation of a new model of applied cooperation - a strategy for joint technological development and industrial and investment cooperation,” Alesya Abramenko said.
According to the Healthcare Ministry, this year's exhibition features 33 exhibitors and 40 brands from leading Chinese manufacturers. This is an increase of two exhibitors and 10 brands compared to 2023.
The program is traditionally rich in events. It includes thematic forums, practical workshops, professional conferences, as well as business negotiations and B2B meetings with experts from Belarus and China.
