MINSK, 15 July (BelTA) – On 13 July 2021 the Council of Ministers passed Resolution No. 400 to approve entry rules for foreign citizens planning to visit Belarus to get a coronavirus vaccine and the rules of handling vaccination applications. The resolution was officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal on 15 July, BelTA informs.
In line with the document, foreigners seeking to get a COVID-19 vaccine in Belarus will be able to enter and leave Belarus through international checkpoints. They will be able to do it once. A vaccination application (for a single-component vaccine or a two-component vaccine) will serve as a ground for entry. Foreigners arriving in Belarus will need to present a valid passport or another travel document.
Foreigners should enter Belarus no earlier than two days prior to the confirmed vaccination date and no later than that date. If they fail to arrive on time, their vaccination application will be canceled.
Vaccinated foreigners should leave Belarus before the expiration of the period of stay established in Paragraph 1 of Presidential Decree No. 251 dated 1 July 2021. In the event of natural disasters, accidents or emergencies, disease or health condition, other unforeseen circumstances, a foreigner or his/her representative should apply to the nearest police office for extension of the period of temporary stay and registration.
In line with the document, if foreign nationals enter Belarus upon a vaccination application, but fail to show up at a vaccination clinic, the Healthcare Ministry, the State Border Committee and the Ministry of Internal Affairs should look into the reasons why this happened and take a decision on a possibility of a foreigner's re-entry into Belarus. If they establish that there were no objective reasons for the failure to get a vaccine, a vaccination application will not be re-registered.
The Healthcare Ministry is authorized to explain the peculiarities of the application of this resolution.
The resolution came into force on 15 July.
