Gomel Oblast governor travels to Moscow on working trip

GOMEL, 11 January (BelTA) - Chairman of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee Ivan Krupko met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Dmitry Krutoi during his working trip to Moscow to discuss the prospects for cooperation between Gomel Oblast of Belarus and Russian regions in 2024, BelTA has learned from the Gomel Regional Executive Committee.

"We are thinking about strengthening cooperation with Kursk Oblast and Kaluga Oblast. We are establishing relations with other subjects of Russia. We are not neglecting the partnership with our long-time friends, such as Bryansk Oblast", Governor Ivan Krupko noted.

"In the spring we will hold an economic forum; in May we will present our enterprises at the VDNKh in Moscow. We will invite representatives of Russian regions to cultural and sports events in Gomel Oblast", the governor said.

The ambassador suggested promoting closer cooperation with Magadan Oblast, which is ready for cooperation in various avenues.

When in Moscow the Gomel Oblast governor is set to meet with the heads of Russian regions and sign document, and also to hold business meetings.
