GOMEL, 29 March (BelTA) - The state always finds resources to unearth the creative potential of gifted children and youth, Gomel Oblast Governor Gennady Solovei said at the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee award ceremony to support talented creative youth, BelTA has learned.
Gennady Solovei stressed that talented young people are the wealth of the nation and the guarantee of the country's further successful development. “The state is interested in supporting gifted children, in creating the most favorable conditions for the development of their creative abilities. We do everything possible in the region to make the spiritual life of Gomel Oblast even richer and more diverse. First of all, it pertains to the support of our future musical, artistic and theatrical elite,” he noted.
Every year the competitive program of the region includes dozens of events aimed at supporting the creative potential of the younger generation. These include the international music competitions Music of Hope and Accordion is My Friend, the choreographic festival Sozhsky Karagod, art competitions Maystar and Mozyr Palette, Slavonic theatrical meetings and others. Many of them have become visiting cards of the region and gather guests from different corners of the world.
Performers, actors, reciters, musicians of the south-eastern region always make a bright statement on international arenas and become laureates of the Oblast Executive Committee Award. They are talented children from different districts.
According to Gennady Solovei, the high level of professional training is evidenced by numerous victories of students and creative teams in international and national competitions. Last year the stars of the region won more than 300 diplomas of laureates, 22 students received bonuses from the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the support of talented youth.
Considerable attention is paid to creating decent conditions for the development of creative abilities in cultural institutions and strengthening their material and technical infrastructure.
The governor awarded the best of the best and expressed his sincere gratitude to the parents for the worthy upbringing of their children and to the teachers and managers of cultural and artistic institutions for their contribution to the development of creative abilities of their students. He wished these awards and this day to gave a new impetus to the awardees, as well as strong health, inexhaustible optimism and inspiration.
