GOMEL, 6 September (BelTA) – The first sand sculpture festival in Belarus has opened in Gomel. On the festival grounds, artists from various parts of the country are creating works of art using only sand, water, and inspiration. For several days, residents and guests of the city can watch as remarkable images emerge from ordinary sand. The sculptures are crafted from top to bottom, with each stroke requiring not only precision but also great skill. A total of 10 sculptures will be created, each requiring about 20 tonnes of sand. In all, more than 200 tonnes of material have been brought to the festival.
