Golovchenko to take part in Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting in Almaty

MINSK, 2 February (BelTA) – Belarus’ Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko will take part in a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on 2 February, BelTA has learned.

The agenda of the Intergovernmental Council meeting includes the macroeconomic situation in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and proposals to ensure sustainable economic development, the current state and prospects for the development of the EAEU integrated information system, the implementation of the roadmap to create favorable conditions for the development of electronic commerce in the union, and amendments to the list of priority integration infrastructure projects in transport. Among other issues is the implementation of a joint project of accelerated rail and multimodal transportation of agricultural products and food Eurasian Agroexpress.

The Belarusian head of government is also expected to visit the Digital Almaty 2024 forum. The central theme of the forum will be “Industry X: Digital Evolution of the Future”. This year's forum will feature an extensive business program that will cover the topics of digital transformation in industry and innovative solutions in the areas of GovTech, Industry 4.0, ESG, Smart City, and others.
