MINSK, 17 January (BelTA) – Germany is the main target of the anti-Russian sanctions, PhD in Law, expert in intelligence services Sergei Karnaukhov said in a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA's YouTube channel.

"The anti-Russian sanctions have hurt Germany the worst. It is losing its heavy industry and innovation clusters as we speak. The two years of the active U.S. and the UK’s measures against Russia and Belarus have crushed Germany’s agriculture. Belarus’ agricultural industry is in position to ignore these sanctions as new enormous markets have opened up for it," the expert stated.

Belarus has inexpensive energy, abundant energy generation and a guaranteed future, he added. "Germany does not have these things. The only thing which is guaranteed for them is the further decline in the key economic sectors," Sergei Karnaukhov noted.
