VITEBSK, 8 July (BelTA) – A junior song contest, exhibitions, a concert of celebrity bloggers are listed first on the playbill of the International Arts Festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, the festival directorate told BelTA.
The first round of the Junior Song Contest Vitebsk will be the central event of the day on 8 July. Young hopefuls from 14 countries will perform on the stage of the Vitebsk Concert Hall. For the first time, the event will feature performances of cartoon soundtracks. Belarus will be represented by 12-year-old Amalia Sukhan who will perform a song from The Lion King dressed in themed costumes. The jury of the competition will be headed by composer, musician, laureate of the presidential prize For Spiritual Revival, Honored Artist of Belarus Yevgeny Oleinik. The contest will start at 18:00.
Another event preceding the main concerts of the festival will be the international Dream Dance Fest project. The Vitebsk Concert Hall will turn into a dance battle venue where choreographic groups will present stunning entries and rock the hall. The event will start at 12:30.
At 11:30, a presentation of living paintings will take place at the Central Exhibition Hall. At 15:00, the Art Museum will present the Yatakvizhu exposition of graphic works by Alexander Bogdanovsky (St. Petersburg). Meanwhile, visitors to the Dukhovsky Kruglik will be able to appreciate the beauty and diversity of folk costumes.
The concert-performance Master and Mandolin (18:00) at the Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic Hall will feature Russian musicians playing the mandolin, domra and organ.
A concert of TikTok stars at the Vitebsk Central Sports Complex is expected to become a huge draw for young people. The stadium stands have been transformed into a concert hall for 6,000 seats for the duration of the festival. There will be an autograph and photo session and pleasant surprises for visitors.
The Yakub Kolas National Academic Drama Theater will present the performance Ladies and Hussars at 19:00. After the performance, the audience and journalists will be able to talk to the actors and ask them questions about the theater and the work on the production.
