MOSCOW, 22 November (BelTA) - Forty-six residents of Kursk Oblast returned to Russia from Ukraine with the assistance of Belarus today, Russia’s human rights commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova wrote in her Telegram channel, BelTA learned.
"This humanitarian action became possible thanks to cooperation with the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Defense of Russia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, special services, and the appropriate government bodies of Belarus. They were in close contact with Governor of Kursk Oblast Aleksei Smirnov. I would like to highlight the role of the ICRC that responded to every request for food, clothes, transport. We were in a dialogue on this issue with the Ukrainian side," Tatyana Moskalkova said.
According to her, all Russians were taken out of the territory of Kursk Oblast by Ukrainian armed formations. Among the citizens who returned to Russia are 12 children, including one newborn, one under the age of 3 and a wheelchair user.
