MINSK, 30 July (BelTA) – Former head of a regional branch of the opposition party Narodnaya Gromada Olga Tishkevich told the ONT TV channel about plans of the self-exiled Belarusian opposition to attack Belarus with drones, BelTA has learned.
Speaking about the planned drone attacks, Olga Tishkevich mentioned the name of Pavel Beliutin, ex-member of the Vilnius “khorugv” unit and Narodnaya Gromada. He is characterized as a mentally unstable person. Pavel Beliutin is prone to terrorism, was close to Nikolai Avtukhovich and shared the idea of violent change of power in Belarus.
“He was frightened, saying he would be imprisoned in Lithuania for terrorism. I asked him what he could be imprisoned for. He answered that everything that Sakhashchik said [about drone attacks on Belarus] was true,” Olga Tishkevich said.
The TV channel noted that Valery Sakhashchik is a representative of the extremist structure on defense and national security exiled abroad. He holds a passport of the Russian Federation. He has no authority among the Belarusian mercenaries, maintains contact with the Polish special services.
“He [Pavel Beliutin] said that they bought more than 20 drones. They planned to attack Belarus, to hit the nuclear power plant,” Olga Tishkevich said.
