Food, essentials in good supply for refugees in Belarusian logistics hub

GRODNO, 20 December (BelTA) - There is a sufficient supply of food and necessary things for the refugees staying in the Belarusian logistics hub near Grodno, head of the emergency response and search department of the Belarusian Red Cross Society Igor Trusov told the reporters on 20 December, BelTA has learned.

The refugees have been staying on the Belarus-Poland border for 43 days already. They are staying in a temporary accommodation facility at the transport and logistics center Bruzgi near the Belarusian-Polish border. There are about 600 of them, many women and children. Belarus continues to provide the refugees with everything they need.

“This work is done on a daily basis. We have enough of everything for it. Refugees receive tea and sweets for breakfast, hot meals for lunch and grocery packages for the evening. We have enough food in the warehouses. If necessary, the stocks will be replenished,” said Igor Trusov.

Refugees are also given warm clothes and shoes, hygiene products, feeding bottles for babies and baby food.

Medics are on standby 24/7. There is also a mobile bathhouse nearby.
