
MINSK, 8 June (BelTA) – The final day of the Vytoki sports and cultural festival gathered about 25,000 participants and guests in Postavy, BelTA informs citing the National Olympic Committee.

The central venue of the festival on 7 June was the municipal stadium, where spectacular events were taking place throughout the day. The Olympic Quiz was held on the small stage of the roller and skater park. The participants in the quiz could check how well they know the history of the Olympic movement and the achievements of Belarusian athletes.

The highlight of the day was the traditional Olympic quest. About 2,000 children and teenagers passed challenges in 32 sports on 26 sports grounds. Participants competed in agility and endurance, performed tasks on rowing machines, tried their hand at karate, judo, gymnastics, cycling with elements of virtual reality and other disciplines.

Another highlight was the project “In Search of Stars: Discovering Talent in Every Child!”. The project was organized jointly by the National Research and Treatment Center for Sports and the National Olympic Committee. Using special equipment, children underwent comprehensive diagnostics, which helped identify their innate ability for particular sports.

The eventful day wrapped up with the Musical Ring show and an evening concert featuring popular Belarusian performers. The festival concluded with colorful fireworks over the water and a fiery disco in the open air.
