MINSK, 30 June (BelTA) - A familiarization tour to Belarus will be organized for tourism industry representatives from Ürümqi, China, the National Tourism Agency of Belarus told BelTA.
The initiative was discussed on the sidelines of the international exhibition China-Eurasia 2025 in Ürümqi. Representatives of the National Tourism Agency participated in a business forum focused on trade and investment cooperation, with particular attention given to tourism investment as a promising area of Belarus-China cooperation.
Belarusian representatives also held a meeting with a major tour operator from Ürümqi. The parties discussed organizing a familiarization trip for a group from Ürümqi to Belarus and agreed to actively exchange information to broaden awareness of tourism opportunities in both countries and develop attractive joint offerings.
“Participation in the China-Eurasia 2025 Expo is an important step to implement our strategy to attract Chinese tourists to Belarus and strengthen bilateral tourism partnerships,” the agency noted.
The China-Eurasia Expo 2025 will run until 30 June. The Xinjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center has brought together representatives from various industries to showcase their achievements and establish new business contacts. The range of thematic sections presented is remarkably broad: from the energy sector and mechanical engineering to the textile industry and digital technologies.
