MINSK, 1 February (BelTA) - The board game Vybor.BY has aroused great interest in many CIS countries, Andrei Belyakov, Head of the Center for Public Relations and Electoral Process of the Academy of Public Administration under the Aegis of the President of Belarus, member of the Scientific and Expert Council at the Central Election Commission of Belarus, said in the latest episode of BelTA’s project “The Nation Speaks”.
“We both held a presentation of the Vybor.BY game and the relevant tournament. In general, the interest to the game was high. Colleagues from CIS countries, in particular Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, asked for this game as a gift. The Central Election Commission met everyone halfway,” Andrei Belyakov said.
According to the expert, the Braille books “Symbols of Sovereign Belarus” and “Elections in Belarus. Fast Facts” were presented as part of the Belarus Elects campaign ahead of the presidential election. “The project was an expensive one. The books have been distributed among schools for visually impaired children, and also to the regional and Minsk city libraries. This is another very symbolic step, which shows how we treat all citizens of our country, including those with disabilities,” he said. “By the way, the Symbols of Sovereign Belarus book was handed to each of those voting for the first time at the presidential election in Belarus.”
