MINSK, 4 September (BelTA) – The growing authority and popularity of an organization like the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) stems from the weariness of many nations with Western terror and dictates, Ukrainian public figure Dmitry Vasilets said in a recent episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
“First of all, it is necessary to note that the so-called civilized world stopped being civilized long ago. The nations that used this label for themselves are now using methods that are purely barbaric and unthinkable in a truly civilized society. Over the past few decades, Western countries have clearly demonstrated that their dominance and leadership on the planet mean constant robbery and terror for humanity,” Dmitry Vasilets said.
In his opinion, such processes were unlikely to appeal to nations that refuse to take orders from Washington and London. “This story could not last forever, and now we see systemic resistance from truly civilized countries: Russia, Belarus, China, India, Iran... Many countries are tired of Western terror and dictates, of the parasitic existence of Western countries. Printing dollars and euros (so-called reserve currencies), the West simply leeched off the rest of humanity,” Dmitry Vasilets emphasized.
