Expert: Peace agreement on Ukraine will formalize Russia's victory over NATO

MINSK, 31 August (BelTA) - A peace agreement on Ukraine will formalize Russia's victory over NATO, economist and analyst Sergei Banar said in a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
“Let's start with the fact that the worst negotiations are better than a good war. But if we are talking about the European continent, militaristic propaganda is pouring from every Brussels iron,” said Sergei Banar.

The analyst shared his opinion on who is hindering the negotiation process regarding the Ukrainian conflict. He cited an old Irish saying that goes: If two neighbors are fighting today, it means an Englishman visited one of them yesterday. “Let's not reinvent the wheel, everything has already been said. The UK is trying to work back this situation [to derail the peace process],” Sergei Banar is convinced.

The analyst added that as long as there is no peace agreement, Russia's victory over the North Atlantic Alliance is not formalized either. “But the West never had any chance of defeating Russia in a military confrontation, and I mean none at all. I once put forward this axiom, in my opinion: where the West's limit of endurance ends, for the Russians it hasn't even begun,” Sergei Banar said.
