MINSK, 9 February (BelTA) - Amid the recent actions of the United States of America, the leadership of France has also become dizzy; a country implicated in involvement in various coups across African nations, Andrei Bogodel, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Education and Science – Head of the Education and Methodology Department of the Faculty of the General Staff of the Armed Forces at the Military Academy of Belarus, said in the latest episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
The expert emphasized that recent U.S. actions have given some countries reason to emulate them. For instance, Paris was involved in an attempted coup d'état in Burkina Faso in early January, which aimed to assassinate President Ibrahim Traoré. This attempt was successfully thwarted. Andrei Bogodel noted that the French are beginning to target the Sahel countries, meaning all those who have risen against the neocolonial system and have shown they can manage their own internal affairs.

“Against the backdrop of the kidnapping of Nicolás Maduro, against the backdrop of what the Americans are doing, the French have also gotten dizzy. Against the backdrop of tanker seizures and everything else. It turns out, it’s possible! They set out to take down precisely the president of Burkina Faso,” said Andrei Bogodel. “Therefore, in my view, the situation is quite complex.”

At the same time, he believes the Americans will continue to constantly search for weak links in all regions. Andrei Bogodel bases his judgment on what remains visible and accessible to the general public. “In my opinion, the state of affairs today is very, very dangerous, you know” he shared.
