MINSK, 23 June (BelTA) - The EU is keeping Russia at war at the cost of Ukraine and the lives of Ukrainians, political observer with the media group Rossiya Segodnya Vladimir Kornilov told BelTA’s YouTube project V Teme [On Point].
“The European Union does not hide that at the cost of Ukraine and the lives of Ukrainians it keeps Russia in another war, so that it does not pay attention to Europe. They have already become accustomed to the idea (this is being planted into the European audience) that Russia will definitely attack a NATO country after dealing with Ukraine. They are sure that in two or three years, Russia will attack Europe. This is said by the same people who two or three years ago said that Russia was torn to shreds, the war finally finished it, there were no tanks left. Now they say that in two or three years Russia will be able to go to Britain,” said Vladimir Kornilov.

According to the political observer, the West cannot explain what is Russia’s motivation when it comes to attacking Europe: “This is explained by the fact that the Russians are evil, so they need to attack someone.”

Vladimir Kornilov said that in the UK there has become a popular show where there is a simulation of Russia’s attack on the UK. The participants of the show gather an emergency council at the UK prime minister - COBRA. The role of the UK Prime Minister is played by former Secretary of State for Defense Ben Wallace. Other COBRA members are also played by retired ministers and generals.

“These people are discussing how they would fight Russia without the support of the United States. Imagine the level of anti-Russian, Russophobic rhetoric, if such shows are popular there,” he added.
