"On Point"
MINSK, 5 May (BelTA) - Statements by Western politicians should not be underestimated. Even in the absence of real resources, there may be an idea behind the words that can unite and radicalize societies, Nikolai Buzin, Member of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, said in a recent episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
“There is an element that requires our attention - a statement. This is an element of desire, an element of political voluntarism,” the MP emphasized, noting that even in the absence of sufficient capacity to solve problems, the countries of Europe are united by a single idea.
In his words, any war is preceded by ideological preparation. “Brainwashing, target setting, preparation of people for the realization of this idea. Europe has such a desire,” Nikolai Buzin said.
He named Ukraine as a vivid example. “25 years ago, no one could even imagine that such a situation could arise. However, the idea was heated, promoted by all possible methods, and eventually all this was nurtured and brought to what we have today,” the MP added.
Nikolai Buzin drew parallels with the events of the last century. “Once no one took German fascism seriously. The Führer was laughed at. But then came the seizure of territories, the inclusion of economies, the march to the East,” he said.
According to the MP, the idea is still there and today it is being nurtured again. “It is not for nothing that the residents of Europe are advised to prepare for hard times. €800 billion are already being allocated supposedly for defense. How much more will be there?” he wondered.
He also recalled that some 600,000 Soviet soldiers sacrificed their lives for the liberation of Poland from fascism, and now they are creating an army of 300,000. “They are churning out tanks, buying weapons. If there is a rifle on the wall, it will go off at some point. Why spend so much money? There are not many idiots in life. That means there is some goal. This is something that cannot be disregarded,” said Nikolai Buzin.
He emphasized that it is important to be proactive. “You cannot bring it to the boiling point. Any problem should be stopped in advance. You can't wave your hand and say that Europe can't do anything,” the MP said.
In conclusion, the MP recalled Aleksandr Lukashenko’s statement that the good must be with fists. “We broadcast the idea of peace. But the good must be with fists. Our president spoke about it,” Nikolai Buzin said.
