Exhibition celebrating Belarus' presidency in CIS in 2021 opens in Minsk

MINSK, 28 January (BelTA) – An exhibition celebrating Belarus' presidency in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in 2021 has opened in the CIS headquarters in Minsk, BelTA learned from the CIS Executive Committee.

“The exhibition features books, photobooks, and photos that tell about Belarusian literature, history, culture, architecture, and art, its picturesque nature and rich national traditions. The exhibition is enhanced with media materials about Belarus' achievements and its role in advancing the cooperation in the CIS,” the press service noted.

The opening of the exhibition was timed to the first session of the CIS Council of Permanent Plenipotentiaries in CIS statutory and other bodies in 2021. During the session, Belarus unveiled the concept of its presidency in the CIS and the action plan to implement it.

The exhibition was arranged with the support of the office of the Belarusian permanent representative at the CIS statutory and other bodies, the Belarusian Information Ministry, and the Presidential Library of Belarus.

Belarus is presiding in the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2021. The relevant decision was made at the session on the CIS Heads of State Council that took place on 18 December 2020.
