MINSK, 21 January (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the People's Republic of China Aleksandr Chervyakov attended the opening ceremony of the art exhibition “Deep Friendship in the Context of Art”, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Beijing.
The exhibition is running in the Art Museum of Tianjin and is timed to the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China.
During the event Ambassador Aleksandr Chervyakov held a meeting with Tianjin Vice Mayor Zhang Ling. The parties discussed the results of the cooperation in the framework of the agreements reached between Tianjin and Mogilev Oblast and opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation.
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China were established on 20 January 1992.
Belarusian-Chinese cooperation is currently at the highest level of development. In a short period of time, the two countries have gone from bilateral interaction to an all-weather and all-round strategic partnership. Belarus and China actively cooperate in trade and economic, scientific and technical, humanitarian and other avenues. An unprecedentedly high level of political dialogue is based on the principles of trust and mutual respect.
