Eurasian Intergovernmental Council to meet in Belarus in May 2024

ALMATY, 2 February (BelTA) - The next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will take place in Belarus in May 2024. The corresponding decision was made at the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council session in Almaty, Kazakhstan on 2 February, BelTA has learned.

The date and the city to host the meeting will be determined later.

The agenda of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting in Almaty on 2 February included the macroeconomic situation in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries and proposals to ensure sustainable economic development, the current state and prospects of the EAEU integrated information system, the implementation of the roadmap to create favorable conditions for electronic commerce within the union, amendments to the list of priority integration infrastructure projects in transport. The participants of the meeting also discussed the progress made in the implementation of the joint project on the accelerated rail and multimodal transportation of agricultural products and foodstuffs “Eurasian Agroexpress”.
