Election 2024 info center to open in Belarus on 24 February

MINSK, 17 January (BelTA) - The Election 2024 information center of the Belarusian Central Election Commission (CEC) for the single voting day will operate from 24 to 26 February, Belarus’ Information Minister Vladimir Pertsov said during the seminar-conference "The role of the media in creating effective communication during election campaigns" in Minsk on 17 January, BelTA has learned.
 
According to Vladimir Pertsov, the info center will be located in the Palace of the Republic and will operate on 24, 25 and 26 February 2024. "The Information Ministry will accredit representatives of Belarusian media. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will accredit foreign journalists.”
 
Vladimir Pertsov noted that the info center will organize the work of a pool of experts, the leading national television and radio media outdoor studios and accredited representatives of other media. “Moreover, it will host press conferences of the CEC chairman, missions of international observers, video conferences with the chairmen of territorial election commissions," the minister concluded.
 
According to Belarusian First Deputy Information Minister Andrei Kuntsevich, accreditation to work in the information center will open today, on 17 January.
