Dugin explains why there are no Western nations in BRICS

MINSK, 20 August (BELTA) – Philosopher Aleksandr Dugin explained why an organization like BRICS does not include Western nations in the latest episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
“BRICS is a kind of club of the multipolar world and the West is absent from it for one reason. The point is that the West wants to be the only club. And the rest of humanity does not want it to be that way. It wants to distribute power across several poles. And BRICS serves as the prototype of a multipolar world,” Aleksandr Dugin said.

Overall, the philosopher noted, the formation of a multipolar world is a complex process, and it involves civilization states, not just states. Aleksandr Dugin identifies Russia, China, India and the collective West as such civilization states. At the same time, the collective West could well split into two different poles, the US and Europe.
“This is not something that may or will happen. It is happening now. That is the multipolar world and it is a fact. Meanwhile, Islamic civilization, which is another major space, is emerging. So are Latin American and African ones. The degree of integration there is much weaker, and these are, so to speak, the poles of the future,” Aleksandr Dugin said.
