
MINSK, 21 May (BelTA) - A delegation from the Dubai Police visited Belarus, the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs told BelTA.
The visit began with a tour of the Minsk City Police Department, where the delegation was introduced to Belarus’ efforts in combating cybercrime.
At the Academy of the Internal Affairs Ministry, foreign law enforcement officials held a working meeting with Deputy Internal Affairs Minister, Chief of Criminal Police Gennady Kazakevich. The academy’s leadership informed the guests about the educational institution and its capabilities for training foreign specialists.
The delegation also explored the International Training Center for Migration and Combating Human Trafficking, where Belarusian officials shared their experience in preventing economic crimes and organizing staff.
At the base of the riot police of the Minsk City Police Department, the Dubai officers studied weapons and equipment. The Belarusian police officers demonstrated their skills in controlling riots.
The guests toured the Center for Training, Professional Development and Retraining and, where they saw performances by the special anti-terrorism unit Almaz. They watched hostage rescue operations performed by the unit.
In Brest, Belarusian police shared their experience in public order protection at tourist sites. The Dubai delegation also participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Eternal Flame in the Brest Fortress Memorial Complex.
