MINSK, 7 June (BelTA) – An additional session of the expert group in charge of reconciling draft addresses of the heads of state of the Commonwealth of Independent States to CIS nations and the international community in connection with the 80th anniversary of the Soviet nation’s victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and draft decisions of the CIS Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs and the CIS Heads of State Council regarding the matter took place in the CIS headquarters on 7 June, the press service of the CIS Executive Committee told BelTA.
The videoconference meeting gathered plenipotentiary representatives and experts from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan as well as representatives of the Secretariat of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the international union “Commonwealth of public organizations of veterans (pensioners) of the independent states” and the CIS Executive Committee.
During the meeting the experts looked into submitted remarks and reconciled the draft documents. The CIS Executive Committee was invited to forward the session’s materials to the CIS states for intrastate reconciliation. The documents will then be forwarded for consideration of the supreme bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
