MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) - A ceremony of signing a memorandum on strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the Oktyabrsky district of Minsk and the Yuexiu district of Guangzhou took place in the Chinese city of Guangzhou with the assistance of the Consulate General of Belarus on 25 May, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Guangzhou.
The agreement was signed by Head of Minsk's Oktyabrsky district administration of the Belarusian capital Gennady Lubotynsky and Chairperson of the People's Government of the Yuexiu district Su Pei.
“The memorandum will make a legal framework for further deepening of trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian ties between the two districts, as well as one of the stages to prepare for the establishment of twinning relations between Minsk and Guangzhou,” the Consulate General of Belarus said.
