MINSK, 15 May (BelTA) – The American public is being convinced of the need to launch terrorist attacks against the Union State of Belarus and Russia, the Ukrainian politician Andrei Derkach told BelTA’s YouTube project On Point [V Teme] in an interview.

First of all, Andrei Derkach drew attention to the synchronization of activities of U.S. security agencies and mass media with Ukrainian security agencies. To prove his point, he reminded that on 25 February the New York Times published an article about CIA efforts to create special operations units as part of the Central Intelligence Office (GUR) of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry and as part of Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU). “The article describes 12 bases established in Ukraine at the borders with Belarus and Russia. It describes how these units were trained, what instructors were deployed there, how these units were formed. It happened on 25 February. After that, the Russian Volunteer Corps moved into Russia’s Belgorod Oblast. A month later Security Advisor Sullivan flew to Ukraine for his first visit. Three days later we saw the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall. Some time later we saw attacks against the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant,” the Ukrainian politician stressed.

Andrei Derkach believes that in this manner information was leaked to the American public about the possibility and even the necessity of carrying out terrorist activities against the Union State of Belarus and Russia. “The general public was being taught to accept that terrorism is an option in conditions of military operations. It is called cognitive warfare,” he stated.
