MOGILEV, 21 March (BelTA) - Cooperation and new markets are the key to stable development, Mogilev Oblast Vice Governor Ruslan Strakhar said at a meeting with a delegation from Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod Region in Mogilev, BelTA has learned.
“Cooperation with Russia in modern conditions is one of the ways to diversify our exports,” Ruslan Strakhar emphasized. “This is true about virtually every enterprise of Mogilev Oblast. In this regard, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, which is famous for its rich industrial history and potential, becomes an important element of this cooperation. Representatives of Russian industrial enterprises are touring Mogilev Oblast, and this is an opportunity to hold B2B negotiations, to outline new areas of cooperation. Russia is pursuing the course of technological sovereignty, and this fully fits into the trajectory of our industrial development. Only in joint work and cooperation, search for new markets is the guarantee of our stable development.” The Mogilev Oblast vice governor added that such direct meetings bring concrete results, providing the opportunity to discuss all aspects of cooperation and build new roadmaps.
According to Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Vice Governor Andrei Sanosyan, industrial production, agriculture, science and education will be promising areas of joint work between the regions. “Industrial cooperation is a big area of work: automotive and chemical industry, production of modern components and materials,” he said. “A large delegation of representatives of more than 30 enterprises has come to Belarus, and some of them, I am sure, will find common ground and continue mutually beneficial cooperation with the enterprises of Mogilev Oblast. We are planning to visit the free economic zone Mogilev, to exchange experience, best practices and development competences.”
The parties also agreed to deepen cooperation between higher educational institutions in industrial developments. A delegation of heads of educational institutions of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast will be set up for more substantive work on the matter.
