MINSK, 5 November (BelTA) – In an attempt to preserve its hegemony the West has placed the world on the brink of a confrontation of nuclear powers, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry quoted Chief of the Central Office, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Vladimir Kupriyanyuk as saying.
Vladimir Kupriyanyuk said: “A coalition of Western states led by the United States of America is unwilling to put up with the new reality of the world order and tries to preserve its global hegemony. The forms and methods of confrontation they use demonstrate complete loss of the ability to influence the development of events by the existing institutions of international and regional security. It inevitably places the world on the brink of an armed confrontation of nuclear powers.”
According to the deputy chief of the General Staff, the policy and actions of the United States of America underlie the negative trends. For decades the United States of America kept essentially annexing sovereign states with impunity. It was done to facilitate the rise to power of the political forces that are loyal to the West through color revolutions.
“Since the beginning of the 21st century attempts to replace unwanted regimes using these methods have been made in Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Moldova, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. When so-called non-violent measures demonstrated little efficiency, the USA launched armed aggression to attain its goals just the way it was done in Yugoslavia, Iraq, and Libya. These are just a few examples from the blood-soaked list of the White House, which is responsible for deaths of a huge number of civilians across the entire world,” Vladimir Kupriyanyuk stressed.
The deputy chief of the General Staff stated that the policy of the USA’s ruling elite is based on the unquenchable thirst for domination in all spheres. To achieve this goal, they totally ignore any norms of international laws and disregard everything and everyone.
