MINSK, 2 September (BelTA) – The defense ministries of Belarus and the United Arab Emirates have signed a short-term cooperation plan, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Defense Ministry.
The first meeting of the Belarus-UAE Joint Committee for Military Cooperation took place in the United Arab Emirates. Belarus was represented at the meeting by Valery Revenko, Chief of the International Military Cooperation Department, Aide for International Military Cooperation to the Belarusian Defense Minister.
A short-term cooperation plan between the defense ministries was signed for the first time in the history of bilateral interaction. “This demonstrates a mutual interest in further strengthening cooperation and filling it with practical content. The unwavering focus of both parties on maintaining an active dialogue on issues of mutual interest was affirmed during the event,” the Belarusian defense ministry said.
