MINSK, 23 October (BelTA) - The defense ministries of Belarus and Russia will continue to maintain the achieved level of cooperation, Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin said at a meeting of the joint board of the Defense Ministries of Belarus and Russia on 23 October, BelTA has learned.
“Strategic interaction between our states is successfully carried out in various areas. Integration in ensuring the security of the Union State plays a crucial role today,” Viktor Khrenin said as he addressed the participants of the event.
“In this difficult period of global confrontation between the West and the East, we will continue to maintain the achieved level of cooperation, its further development and deepening in the interests of preserving the sovereignty and independence of our states,” the Belarusian defense minister said.
According to Viktor Khrenin, the joint solution of tasks in the military sector is the basis of stability not only for our countries, but also an important factor of strategic deterrence of threats to the Collective Security Treaty Organization,” Viktor Khrenin said.
