MINSK, 14 May (BelTA) - The Defense Ministers of Belarus and China discussed the state of affairs in the light of the global unfavorable epidemiological situation, talked over joint combat training and education, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Defense Ministry.
“Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin held a telephone conversation with Wei Fenghe, China's Minister of National Defense. The parties discussed the global situation in the light of the current epidemiological situation and measures taken to address it,” the ministry said.
The parties also discussed issues related to bilateral military cooperation. “Cooperation in the areas such as joint combat training, military education, as well as interaction within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization have been discussed,” the Defense Ministry said.
Wei Fenghe emphasized the importance of further strengthening and development of partnership between the countries, and also the existence of good prospects in bilateral military cooperation.
