Dancers from 20 countries to partake in international competitions in Vitebsk

VITEBSK, 17 January (BelTA) – The 35th international ballroom dancing competitions Vitebsk Snowflake 2020 will take place in the Vitebsk Concert Hall on 18-19 January, BelTA learned from the Vitebsk Culture Center.

Taking part in the competitions this year will be dancers from 20 countries worldwide, including Austria, Azerbaijan, Germany, Georgia, Belarus, Israel, Italy, Cyprus, San Marino, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and the Philippines. There will be various age groups, including children, youth, adults and seniors. They will compete in the Latin and Standard programs, the center informed.

Exhibition performance will be given by finalists of European and world championships in the Latin program.

The Vitebsk Snowflake is a prestigious international event, Belarus' oldest dance competition. The event boasts a very high level of participation as it draws the world's best dancers that are in Top 50 of the international ranking.

The competitions are organized by the World Dance Sport Federation, the Belarusian Sports and Tourism Ministry, the Belarus Dance Sport Alliance and the Vitebsk Oblast Federation of Dance Sport, the Vitebsk Culture Center and the Dance Sport Club Fest.
