MINSK, 23 May (BelTA) – Measures to ensure information security were discussed at a session of the board of the Belarusian Internal Affairs Ministry, BelTA has learned.

“Government agencies and organizations constantly have to deal with cyberattacks launched by destructive elements. Moreover, it has become part of the strategy of ‘the self-exiled opposition’ for the sake of destabilizing the situation in the country. We’ve made conclusions and take all the necessary measures to protect information systems,” Internal Affairs Minister Ivan Kubrakov noted.

The minister pointed out that requirements concerning information security precautions in law enforcement agencies remain in place and are mandatory for everyone without exception.
