MOSCOW, 26 March (BelTA) - Representatives of the CSTO Secretariat held a videoconference consultation with experts from the Department of Peace Operations at the UN Secretariat, spokesman for the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Vladimir Zainetdinov told BelTA.
"The experts exchanged views on the the UN certification procedure of the peacekeeping training programs of the Army Military Scientific Center at the Combined Arms Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which is a base training and methodological organization of personnel of the CSTO peacekeeping forces," the spokesman said.
The experts also discussed the specifics of the registration of CSTO peacekeepers in the UN Peacekeeping Capability Readiness System (UN PCRS).
"The parties reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation on the use of CSTO peacekeeping resources in UN peacekeeping activities, which was one of the most important results of the meeting," the spokesman stressed.
