CSTO sets up information security task force 

MOSCOW, 19 June (BelTA) – The Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils of the CSTO member states convened for a meeting in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan on 19 June. It was attended by State Secretary of Belarus’ Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich, BelTA learned from the CSTO press service. 

The parties discussed in detail the situation in the CSTO area of responsibility in the context of countering challenges and threats to collective security. Particular attention was paid to the progress in the first stage of the CSTO targeted interstate program to strengthen the Tajik-Afghan border, the press service said. 

It was decided to establish an information security task force at the CSTO Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils.

“The participants of the event also approved a number of documents related to the planning of military cooperation of the CSTO member states for 2026-2030, the organization of joint training of the command bodies and formations of the CSTO collective security system, improving the management of the CSTO troops (collective forces),” the press service added.
