MINSK, 21 November (BelTA) - People, who put their signatures in support of Aleksandr Lukashenko, are confident about the future and are not ready to lose it, Deputy Chairperson of the Grodno Oblast Association of Trade Unions Svetlana Mainina told the media following the meeting of the head of state with the head and coordinators of the initiative group on 21 November, BelTA has learned.
“People offer words of gratitude. They are confident about the future and are not ready to lose it. Those who attend campaigning events to put their signatures realize that they are doing an important thing: they demonstrate their civic position and support for the incumbent head of state. Today, many people are well aware of the fact that the country is following the right course. And we want to continue on this course,” Svetlana Mainina said.
The coordinator of the Grodno Oblast initiative group praised the meeting with the president as important and friendly. Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed gratitude to all those who were involved in collecting signatures in his support.
“I will definitely pass these words of gratitude to those who visit the places of residence of our voters, to labor collectives every day. We hold a lot of campaigning events. People work with enthusiasm because they see the positive response of our citizens. People express many words of gratitude to the incumbent head of state,” Svetlana Mainina said.
