Combat readiness test in progress in Belarusian army units

MINSK, 23 January (BelTA) – Belarus’ Armed Forces continue testing the combat readiness of individual units, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

A mechanized infantry unit of the Northwestern Operational Command was brought to readiness in order to carry out a combat training mission on 23 January. The military personnel had to use standard-issue weapons, military and special hardware to complete a march of many kilometers in order to reach the designated area.

The Defense Ministry added that the unit had to operate in unknown terrain, take care of field works and camouflage in addition to organizing defenses of the staging area, setting up accommodations for the personnel, weapons, military and special hardware in order to be ready to carry out designated missions.
