MINSK, 13 March (BelTA) - Head of the Combat Training Section of the 19th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Dmitry Artyomochkin, spoke about the preliminary conclusions drawn after the snap inspection of the Armed Forces’ combat readiness in the latest episode of BelTA’s project The Nation Speaks.
Dmitry Artyomochkin noted that, taking into account the experience of the special military operation, attention must be paid to the actions of personnel as part of small tactical groups - pairs and trios. The issue of employing platoons, companies, and battalions is not as relevant at the moment, he believes.

“A very important aspect is the fight against unmanned aerial vehicles. Training areas have been set up at the training ground, and tactical shooting exercises have been developed that allow engaging drone mockups with fire from various positions, including while on the move,” he said.
The section head also drew attention to the issue of physical endurance. “In the context of modern armed conflicts, this factor comes to the forefront because the concept of a gray zone implies that vehicles are no longer used to advance to the line of combat contact. Everything is done on foot over considerable distances, and endurance becomes key,” Dmitry Artyomochkin said.

In his opinion, sudden inspections are necessary primarily because they are sudden. “Just as a war can start suddenly. Personnel must be ready 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to carry out their designated tasks. The second point is to get a real assessment of the state of affairs in military units and subunits,” he summarized.
