Citizens of Germany, Estonia, Italy use visa waiver to visit Belarus more often than others

MINSK, 26 August (BelTA) – Citizens of Germany, Estonia and Italy take advantage of Belarus’ visa waiver more often than others, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee.

A total of 145,007 foreign nationals have visited Belarus visa free since 1 January 2024. They include 54,829 citizens of Latvia, 60,329 citizens of Lithuania and 29,849 citizens of Poland. Since 15 April 2022, 948,948 visa-free travelers have entered Belarus.

Since the visa waiver program was expanded on 19 July, Belarus has welcomed over 3,300 foreigners from 35 European countries. Most of them were from Germany (38%), as well as Estonia and Italy.
